Had a little bit of time post lockdown to work on the museums project. Here’s a set of cards from the museum of forgotten objects and the museum of carnism. These are two of 8 documents that will be include in the next edition of Tierstudien ‘Animal Futures’.
mowson’s hypothetical museum of carnism and museum of forgotten objects negotiate the well-worn trope of the future museum (utopian and dystopian) as a method to recontextualise and de-stablise the meanings of contemporary objects related to the lives, deaths and consumption of animals.
